The aims of the EU project RECCEDD are to "strengthen the detection of threats by explosive detection dogs (EDD) in public areas". Furthermore to address the current lack of training/certification centres by supporting the Member States to establish regional certification centres.

Campus Vesta aims to gain the status of regional non-profit certification centre and training centre offering EU certification conforming with EU recommendations for use of explosive detection dogs (EDD) in critical infrastructures and public spaces. An estimated 600-1000 EDD teams from Benelux, France, Germany & Poland will be trained and (EU) certified.
